Syd Bowley was one of my best friends, always ready to lend a hand and help out anytime. Syd suffered ill health in his last 10 years and sadly passed away aged 88, on May 25 2008. He lived in The Warwickshire Nursing home in Thurlaston Nr Rugby for the last 6 years or so and was very happy there. Syd finally succomed to a chest and bowel infection, he was rushed into University hospital Coventry on Saturday morning the 24th and died Sunday night at approx 7-30pm. I was with him all saturday afternoon and was with him when he passed away. He will be missed by me and my family and his dog Tasha, who now lives with us.
